Virginia Pilot - There is a rather one sided debate going on in the comment section after this article. Some more comments from our side of the issue could help.

Many of these articles mention the number of people who spoke but most of the reporters did not stay the entire length of the hearing. For the record about 56 people spoke out against the plant and at least half of them were from Surry County. 10 Surry County residents spoke in favor of the coal plant.
