Rally for a Clean Energy Future, May 8th Richmond

April 30th, 2012 · 1 Comment

On May 8th, Dominion will be seeking the State Corporation Commission’s (SCC) approval of their 15-year plan in a hearing in Richmond. Dominion’s plan keeps Virginia stuck in its dirty-fuel past, putting the health of Virginia’s families and future generations at risk, all the while ignoring the clean energy solutions available to us. We’ve collected over 2,000 comments in support of a clean energy future, now let’s show Dominion and the SCC that we mean business! We need dedicated activists from across the state to converge on May 8th at the doorsteps of the State Corporation Commission. Sign up today!

What: Rally for a Clean Energy Future – Dominion, it starts with the plan
Where: SCC building at 1300 E. Main St. in Downtown Richmond
When: Tuesday, May 8th at 12 PM
SIGN UP TODAY!
Questions? Contact Whitney Byrd – (434) 202-7952 – whitney@wiseenergyva.org

We will line both sides of the corner main entrance of the SCC building to demonstrate the difference between Dominion’s “Dirty Power Plan” and our vision for a “Clean Energy Future for Virginia” with costume props and some super fun group street theater! There will also be some excellent speakers from the clean energy industry and many inspiring activists from across the state.

There is also an opportunity the public to make comments in-person to the SCC at the hearing. In-person comments really make a strong impression so we encourage you to come and share your perspective with the commission. For more information click here.

It is time to turn up the volume for Virginia-made Clean Energy solutions! Sign up today and join us in Richmond on May 8th!
